Wellbeing / Change4life club takes place every Thursday from 3:30 till 4:30. With the help of Miss Neville and Miss Inniss pupils make healthy smoothies and learn how to keep fit and active.
If you are interested to make your own smoothies and play new games these apps can help you.
At Cedars Academy, we encourage pupils to be active and play different sports, games and activities with the help of the play-workers and sports coaches. As well as develop and try new skills, they can also create new relationship and take some responsibility during this time.
A huge congratulations to this girl en Y5 for achieving her 400 and 600 metres badges. Well done!
Before the Easter Holidays, we celebrated the Spring Sports Festival.
Pupils from all the year groups played football, basketball, netball, badminton, rounders and dodgeball.
The aim of this week was to teach the children the values of these games and sports which are, determination, honesty, passion, self belief, teamwork and, in my opinion. the most important of all, respect.
Thanks to all the teachers, TAs and staff who made this week possible and all the pupils for a fantastic week.
The play leaders had fun this afternoon bowling as part of their reward for their great job during playtime and lunchtime.
I hope you had a great time. Well done to all.
Today, in the spirit of our topic ‘Burps, Bottoms and Bile’ we decided to practically demonstrate to Mr Garcia how food travels through our digestive system. We used some PE equipment to build the organs and we had children acting out as the food, where they had to travel through the body, recreating the journey food we eat everyday.
Today after school clubs were basketball and girls’ football. Warming up, developing the skills and playing the game was part of the session.
We had so much fun that we had some time to improve our official team photos. Well, I think we need to keep practising this part. 🤦♂️😂
